The Scott Group, owned and operated by Ava Marie Scott, Adam Scott’s daughter, is a separate entity from the family business Scott’s Sauce Company, Goldsboro, NC, which commercially produces a variation on Adam Scott’s original sauce recipe.  Ava Marie Scott inherited the original patent document and sauce recipe from her father. The Scott Group’s primary mission is to pay tribute to Adam Scott, “The Barbecue King” by recreating the original secret recipe, patented by Adam Scott, which was called “The Scotteretta”, as a hot sauce and barbecue sauce, thereby honoring and preserving his legacy. Ava Marie Scott also manages The Scott’s BBQ Sauce Fan Club with a focus on growing the group membership, and providing positive content related to the Scott family history and relevant to the BBQ industry.  

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The Scott Group website is intended to showcase our product offerings and to serve as a gallery of goods and content related to our mission. It is an e-commerce site with a credit card payment mechanism for our goods. All email responses will be sent to the buyer from scottgroupbbq@gmail.com to confirm your order, payment, and shipping.  Shipping fees are included in the prices shown on most items and is noted on the individual products in our Store. Some of our products are only available as add-ons to The Collection Plate gift sets. They are noted as such. We will attempt to reduce the carbon footprint by coordinating all items ordered to ship together in the same package. It is at The Scott Group’s discretion on the use of glass or plastic bottles for shipments. All orders will be scheduled to ship within 24-48 hours of the order being placed. Shipments are typically received within 2-7 days, depending on distance from Tampa, Florida and the USPS carrier routing. 

For any concerns with receipt of the product(s) the website visitor is to contact The Scott Group at scottgroupbbq@gmail.com. We strive to pack securely and clearly label shipping boxes to ensure they arrive intact. In the rare occasion a package is damaged during shipping transit, the buyer is to provide photos of the box, shipping label, and contents promptly to The Scott Group for resolution with the carrier. Replacement of the damaged product is at the discretion of The Scott Group. The Scott Group is not responsible for packages which are not retrieved on the same day of confirmed delivery, thereby making them susceptible to removal or theft. All sales are final and there are no refunds.

Any products or designs produced by us will remain our intellectual property and may not be used in any other form without our prior written consent. Content must not be reproduced, copied, or redistributed in whole or in part without permission from the author. The sauces, recipe e-books, and merchandise cannot be duplicated or relabeled. Re-sell of any of our products is strictly prohibited. All recipes, articles, advertisements, newspaper clippings, and family photos are from the Scott Family Archives.
